Keep Looking At Him

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image…”
2 Corinthians 3:18

Growth in Christ is relational. The more you know Him, the more you become like Him. As you fellowship with Him, His character, wisdom, glory, and divine nature are increasingly expressed through your life.

This is true Christianity—the unveiling of Christ in you.

That is why your walk with Christ must remain personal, intimate, and consistent. The transformation God desires in your life happens as you continually fellowship with Him and behold His glory.

The Bible says:

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
2 Corinthians 3:18

Notice the progression: as you behold, you are changed.

The word translated “changed” comes from the Greek word metamorphoō, from which we get the word metamorphosis. It describes a profound transformation—a change from one form or state into another.

This reveals something powerful about our walk with Christ: what you continually behold influences what you become.

The more you behold Christ through His Word, the more His nature is manifested in you. The more you keep your eyes on Him, the more your life reflects His character.

So, keep looking at Him.

Hebrews 12:2 says:

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”

Your focus matters.

Think about Peter's experience. When Jesus invited him to walk on water, Peter stepped out of the boat and actually walked on the water. As long as his attention remained on Jesus, he did what was naturally impossible.

But when he shifted his attention from the Master to the wind and the waves, fear took over. Matthew 14:30 says that when he saw the wind, he became afraid and began to sink.

What changed?

The storm didn't change. Peter's focus did.

That is a lesson for every Christian.

There will always be winds and waves—pressures, challenges, uncertainties, temptations, disappointments, and circumstances that demand your attention. But you were never called to make your circumstances the object of your gaze.

Keep looking at Jesus.

When your eyes are fixed on Him, you learn to live above the limitations of your circumstances. You rise above fear, discouragement, failure, sin, and the corrupting influences of the world—not because challenges do not exist, but because Christ is greater than whatever stands before you.

Christianity is a call to walk by faith—to look beyond what is visible and fix your gaze on the One who is eternal.

Don't let the waves become bigger in your heart than the One who walks upon them.

Don't let your circumstances become louder than God's Word.

Don't let fear take the place of faith.

Keep looking at Him.

As you behold His glory through the Word, you are being transformed from glory to glory by the Spirit of the Lord.

Your transformation is already in progress.

Your part is to keep your eyes on Jesus.

Keep looking at Him.

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank You for calling me into fellowship with You and for transforming my life by Your Spirit. As I continually behold Your glory through Your Word, I am metamorphosed into the same image, expressing Your excellence, beauty, wisdom, character, and glory in my life. I refuse to be distracted by the circumstances around me. My eyes are fixed on Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith. I walk above fear, limitations, and every challenge of life, and I glorify You continually, in Jesus' Name. Amen.
