This question is often used to assess your level of preparation, interest in the role, analytical ability, and commitment to joining the organization.

Many candidates fail this question because they provide generic answers such as:

  • "It is a good organization."

  • "It is one of the leading organizations in the country."

  • "I know it has been operating for many years."

These responses demonstrate very little preparation and can create the impression that the candidate applied for the job without researching the organization.

The panel wants to know whether you have taken the time to understand:

  • The organization's mandate.

  • Its mission, vision, and values.

  • Its strategic objectives.

  • Its products or services.

  • Its achievements and impact.

  • Its role within the sector.

  • Current priorities and challenges.

A strong answer shows genuine interest and professionalism.
