About the Role

Case Clinic is seeking qualified, compassionate, and patient-focused Dentists to join its clinical team. The successful candidates will provide high-quality dental care, promote oral health, diagnose and manage dental conditions, and contribute to an excellent patient experience.

The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong clinical skills, professionalism, ethical practice, effective communication, and a commitment to safe, patient-centred healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Conduct comprehensive dental examinations and oral health assessments.

  • Diagnose dental and oral conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.

  • Provide preventive, restorative, and general dental care within the scope of practice.

  • Perform appropriate dental procedures safely and professionally.

  • Provide emergency dental assessment and management when required.

  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans where necessary.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.

Patient Care & Communication

  • Explain diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, and aftercare clearly to patients.

  • Obtain appropriate informed consent before treatment.

  • Provide patient-centred care while respecting confidentiality, dignity, and individual needs.

  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and healthy dental practices.

  • Develop positive and professional relationships with patients and their families.

Clinical Safety & Quality

  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.

  • Maintain high standards of clinical safety and professional ethics.

  • Ensure dental equipment and clinical areas are properly maintained and safely used.

  • Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives.

  • Follow applicable healthcare regulations, professional standards, and clinic policies.

Teamwork & Professional Development

  • Work collaboratively with dental assistants, nurses, doctors, laboratory personnel, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Participate in clinical meetings, training, and professional development activities.

  • Keep up to date with developments in dentistry, evidence-based practice, and patient care.

  • Support health education and oral health promotion initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) or equivalent recognized dental qualification.

  • Valid registration and practicing licence with the relevant professional regulatory authority in Uganda.

  • Demonstrated clinical experience in general dentistry.

  • Strong knowledge of dental diagnosis, treatment planning, prevention, and patient management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong clinical judgement and attention to detail.

  • Commitment to professional ethics, patient safety, and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

  • Ability to work in a busy clinical environment and manage multiple patients professionally.

Desirable Skills

Experience or additional training in areas such as restorative dentistry, oral surgery, paediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, or digital dental technologies will be an added advantage.
