What you'll be stepping into
The Clinical Officer provides safe, high-quality and holistic medical care by diagnosing, treating and managing patients’ illness while promoting disease prevention at the University facility. Dean of Students.
Basic Qualifications
Diploma in Clinical Medicine and relevant experience of 4 years. Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council.
Job Duties
Deliver compassionate, patient-centred clinical care that creates a supportive and welcoming environment for students and staff.
Perform thorough patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, emergency response and health education in line with professional clinical standards.
Practise in accordance with Christian values by demonstrating compassion, integrity, ethical conduct, respect for human dignity and holistic care of body, mind and spirit.
Communicate with patients using empathy, confidentiality and professionalism while maintaining clear and respectful interpersonal interactions.
Provide inclusive, culturally sensitive care that meets the diverse needs of a youthful and multi-cultural university community.
Remain calm and effective under pressure during emergencies and collaborate efficiently with the external/wider healthcare team.
Conduct daily outpatient consultations for common student health concerns, including acute illnesses, minor injuries, reproductive and sexual health issues.
Manage campus medical emergencies, stabilise patients and arrange timely referral to higher-level facilities when required.
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and ensure proper documentation of all clinical encounters and treatments.
Design and deliver targeted health-education and wellness programmes addressing the specific needs of young adults (mental health awareness, substance-use prevention, sexual and reproductive health, nutrition and lifestyle).
Support preventive health services such as vaccinations, screening programmes and health-promotion campaigns across the university.
Coordinate closely with the university counselling unit, sports department and student affairs office to ensure integrated support for students’ physical and psychosocial wellbeing.
Participate in continuous professional development and contribute to quality-improvement initiatives within the university clinic.
Perform any other clinical or administrative duties as assigned by the Clinical In-Charge or University Health Services management.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to be mutually crafted and agreed upon.
