Role overview
What you'll be stepping into
Yalelo Uganda is seeking two Free Divers to support underwater inspection, maintenance, repair, and installation activities. The successful candidates will work beneath the water surface to inspect and maintain equipment and infrastructure, while strictly following established water health and safety procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Inspect, check, and repair nets and cages underwater.
Check, prepare, and maintain diving equipment before each dive.
Inspect underwater pipelines and report any defects or damage.
Participate in the installation of nets and related equipment underwater.
Assist with the inspection, cleaning, and repair of underwater pumps and valves.
Collect and handle mortalities in accordance with established procedures.
Follow all water health, safety, and diving procedures at all times.
Perform any other duties assigned by the Dive Supervisor or Line Manager.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Applicants should have:
A Diploma in Fisheries and Management Technologies or a relevant qualification.
Demonstrated swimming and water rescue skills.
Professional diving certification is mandatory.
Ability to work safely and effectively in an underwater environment.
Good awareness of diving safety procedures and equipment.
