JOB SUMMARY
EzyAgric is seeking a Human Resource Officer to support recruitment, onboarding, staff records management, and day-to-day HR operations across its offices and field teams. The role is suited to an organised, discreet, people-oriented professional who can handle confidential information and provide effective HR support in a growing organisation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the end-to-end recruitment process, including preparation and posting of job adverts, application screening, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and reference checks.
Coordinate onboarding and induction processes for new employees, interns, and field teams.
Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, contracts, personnel files, and leave records.
Support the administration and maintenance of HR documentation in line with organisational procedures and applicable employment requirements.
Assist with payroll preparation by providing accurate payroll inputs, attendance records, staff changes, and other relevant information.
Track staff attendance, leave, and other employee-related records and follow up on discrepancies where necessary.
Support the administration of employee benefits and ensure relevant staff information is accurately maintained.
Coordinate performance review cycles and follow up with managers and employees to ensure reviews are completed within agreed timelines.
Maintain performance management records and support managers in keeping performance-related processes on schedule.
Assist in organising staff training, learning activities, team engagements, and employee welfare initiatives.
Respond to routine HR queries from employees and escalate sensitive or complex matters to the appropriate level.
Support positive employee relations by promoting effective communication and timely HR support.
Prepare simple HR reports, dashboards, and summaries to support management decision-making.
Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling employee records, payroll information, performance matters, and other sensitive HR information.
Support compliance with Uganda’s Employment Act, organisational HR policies, and basic HR best practices.
Assist with other HR and administrative activities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
First Class or Second Class Upper Division is a must.
Academic transcript must be attached to the application.
One to two years of experience in a Human Resource role.
Graduate trainees or interns seeking hands-on HR experience may also be considered.
Working knowledge of Uganda’s Employment Act and basic HR best practices.
Strong written and spoken communication skills.
Good attention to detail, particularly in HR records and documentation.
Comfortable using Excel, Google Workspace, and HR Information Systems.
High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential staff information.
