What you'll be stepping into
Stanbic Bank Uganda is seeking a Manager, Sector, Infrastructure to provide sector leadership and expertise across origination, solution development, and execution within the Infrastructure sector.
The role will focus on delivering high-quality research, analysis, insights, and strategic advice to strengthen the Bank’s client franchise and position Stanbic Bank as a trusted partner within the Infrastructure sector.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive sector, market, and client research to identify emerging trends, risks, opportunities, and key business drivers.
Develop and maintain sector-specific financial and forecasting models to support insight-led decision-making.
Prepare sector reports, publications, presentations, and advisory positions for client engagements and industry forums.
Partner with Relationship Managers, product teams, and deal teams to identify and originate opportunities and develop compelling client proposals.
Analyse target clients’ strategies, financial performance, and key value drivers to inform relevant financial solutions.
Track client, sector, and market performance indicators to support sustainable business growth and pipeline conversion.
Build and maintain strong networks across the Infrastructure sector ecosystem.
Represent Stanbic Bank as a credible thought leader and sector partner.
Ensure compliance with applicable policies, regulatory requirements, and business controls.
Guide colleagues on relevant standards, processes, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce, or a related field.
At least seven years of relevant experience in banking, sector coverage, research, analytics, origination, or a related commercial environment.
Strong knowledge of the Infrastructure sector, including market dynamics, competitors, regulatory developments, challenges, and opportunities.
Demonstrated experience in financial modelling, quantitative analysis, and preparing high-quality client or industry presentations.
Experience working within cross-functional origination or deal teams and engaging with industry stakeholders.
Strong computer proficiency and the ability to translate complex information into clear and commercially relevant insights.
