What you'll be stepping into
The Pricing & Market Analyst will provide data-driven commercial insights to optimise pricing decisions, protect margins, and strengthen market competitiveness across vehicle sales operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Pricing Strategy & Margin Optimisation
Develop pricing strategies by assessing cost movements and challenging supply inputs.
Support agile price-list updates to maintain market-aligned pricing.
Ensure pricing decisions protect margins while supporting sales performance.
2. Competitor Intelligence & Predictive Bid Positioning
Analyse competitor bid trends using big data, statistical models, and AI.
Transform competitor intelligence into predictive pricing insights.
Develop dashboards and analytical tools to support successful fleet and tender opportunities.
3. FX Risk Management – B2G & Bulk Sales
Assess foreign exchange exposure associated with local-currency tenders and contracts.
Adjust pricing assumptions to manage forex risks and safeguard margins.
4. Budgeting & Financial Performance Support
Support vehicle sales budget preparation and target setting.
Track sales and financial performance against approved plans.
Analyse variances and provide actionable recommendations to improve performance.
5. Market Analytics & Share Tracking
Provide accurate industry market statistics and analysis.
Generate insights that support strategic sales positioning and market-share growth.
6. OEM Pricing & Commercial Support
Prepare well-supported pricing requests to OEMs.
Develop repositioning proposals to improve fleet and retail competitiveness.
Provide commercial analysis to support OEM pricing decisions.
7. Pre-Invoicing Margin Assurance & Governance
Validate deal costing and margins within the ERP system.
Ensure pricing and margin information is accurate before invoicing approvals.
Support strong commercial governance and compliance.

Performance in this role will be measured based on:
Pricing competitiveness and margin performance.
Accuracy of vehicle sales revenue forecasts.
Quality of budget variance analysis.
Quality and timeliness of market reporting.
Quality and timeliness of business performance reporting.

Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience & Knowledge
At least 3 years of experience in pricing, commercial analytics, sales analytics, or a related field.
Strong practical knowledge of pricing, margins, and cost structures.
Accounting or finance experience is an advantage, particularly in costing, margin analysis, and commercial decision-making.
Experience analysing market data in the automotive, telecommunications, FMCG, or similar industries.
Technical Skills
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Experience developing analytical dashboards using tools such as Power BI is preferred.
Strong data analysis and commercial reporting capabilities.
