Job Summary: The Radiographer will perform diagnostic imaging procedures safely and professionally, producing high-quality images to support accurate diagnosis and patient management.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform X-ray and other authorized diagnostic imaging procedures.
Prepare patients and explain procedures clearly.
Position patients appropriately to obtain quality diagnostic images.
Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Apply radiation-protection principles and maintain patient safety.
Review images for technical quality before submission for interpretation.
Maintain accurate imaging and patient records.
Follow infection-prevention and control procedures.
Monitor and report equipment faults or maintenance requirements.
Maintain confidentiality and respect patient dignity.
Support quality-assurance and imaging-service improvement activities.
Work closely with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Relevant qualification in Radiography/Medical Imaging.
Valid professional registration and practising licence where applicable.
Relevant experience is an advantage.
Strong technical and patient-care skills.
Good communication and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of radiation safety.
