To plan, monitor and collect data from experiments to support research processes in a programme
Minimum Qualification ns and Experience:
A Diploma in Fisheries Management.
Applicants should have a minimum of two (2) years’ working experience gained from a fishery related institution/setting.
Specific Duties and responsibilities
Assist in collecting, processing, and managing biological and ecological parameters of different fish species.
Prepare work plans for field sampling and data collection on the biology and ecology of different species of fish.
Monitor and maintain confined experimental animals.
Assist in characterization of sampling ponds including composition, relative abundance, population structure, maturity distribution.
Collect and preserve fish samples for food and fecundity analysis.
Interact with fisher communities to understand their problems.
Participate in workshops, Agricultural shows and any other activity related to information dissemination related to aquaculture.
Participate in developing and delivering education and training programs to farmers and other stakeholders including students on visits and
