What this programme is offering
Applications are now open for the 2027 Queen Elizabeth Prize for Innovation in Engineering. The QEPrize is a global £500,000 prize that celebrates a groundbreaking innovation in engineering and we are delighted that you have chosen to submit a nomination to highlight the innovator(s) who have contributed to a substantial, lasting change in the world.
Requirements
Entry to the prize is open to any living individual (or up to 10 individuals) of any nationality who are personally responsible for a groundbreaking innovation in engineering which has been of benefit to humanity.
Nominations Checklist
Does the innovation have global impact?
Can you identify up to 10 engineers responsible?
Do you have enough information to write a case for nomination?
Are you able to identify at least 3 people who are familiar enough with the innovation to act as referees?
Application Timeline:
The closing date to submit your nomination(s) is 26 June 2026
The deadline for referees to submit supporting statements is 26 July 2026
The winner(s) of the QEPrize will be announced on 2 February 2027 and further details will be released closer to the time
