What happens next
You will receive an acknowledgement that your application has been received
Applications that pass an agreed preliminary screening process are considered at a meeting of the Board of Trustees twice a year – usually in January and June
Submission deadlines are midnight (GMT) on 15th June and 15th December
We aim to let applicants know whether or not their application has reached the final stage of the consideration process within 2 weeks of the trustees meeting at which the application is being considered
Applicants that reach this final stage may be asked to supply further information for the due diligence process including the contact details of two references

The impact the grant will make
The number of people the grant will benefit and for how long
How any shortfall in funding for the project will be raised
The time scale for the project

Please DO NOT apply unless you are registered with the Charities Commissions of England & Wales or Northern Ireland or the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR)
No local appeals outside the North-East of England
No research – academic or medical
No holidays or outings
No arts or entertainment activities
No animal welfare
