About the opportunity
What this programme is offering
Color 2026 at Grid Photo Gallery is an international open call inviting photographers from around the world to submit works in which color plays a central role in the construction, perception, and meaning of the image. Open to all photographic practices and visual approaches, the theme Color welcomes individual works across genres — from documentary, portraiture, landscape, still life, street photography, abstraction… — wherever color becomes an active and defining element within the frame.
Rather than treating color as a decorative or secondary feature, this call encourages photographers to explore how it can shape rhythm, atmosphere, contrast, emotion, spatial relationships, or visual tension. Color may appear as a deliberate compositional strategy, an unexpected interruption, a subtle tonal field, or a symbolic and cultural presence. Whether vibrant or restrained, harmonious or dissonant, continuous or fragmented, submissions should demonstrate clarity of intention and a coherent visual relationship between color and image.
Photographers are invited to share works that contribute to a broad and thoughtful exploration of color in contemporary photography. A curated selection of chosen images will be presented in a global online exhibition accessible worldwide, bringing together diverse perspectives on how color influences the way photographs are constructed, experienced, and understood.
