Eligibility Requirements

Applicants to the Fulbright Foreign Student Program must meet several key criteria:

Science

  • Hold at least a four-year bachelor’s degree with strong academic performance

  • Be a citizen and resident of Bangladesh at the time of application

  • Have at least two years of full-time professional experience relevant to their field

  • Demonstrate English proficiency (minimum TOEFL score of 90 or IELTS score of 7)

  • Not currently hold a U.S. degree or be enrolled in a U.S. academic program

  • Not hold a master’s degree from a foreign country (except Bangladesh)

  • Meet additional eligibility rules, including visa-related requirements (such as not being subject to 212(e))
