About the Nexa Lighthouse Funding Program
Grand Challenges Canada is inviting eligible organisations to apply for the Nexa Lighthouse Funding Program 2027, which supports proven innovations addressing the health risks associated with climate change across Asia and the Pacific.
The initiative aims to help local health actors turn climate-related health risk information into timely, practical interventions. It focuses on solutions that can reduce the health impacts of mosquito-borne infections, extreme heat and poor air quality.
The programme provides Transition to Scale investments to help promising innovations expand their reach, strengthen implementation and deliver measurable health benefits in eligible countries.
Benefits of the Nexa Lighthouse Funding Program
Selected innovations may receive:
Funding of approximately US$250,000 to US$2 million per innovation, depending on the maturity of the solution and the investment decision of the Nexa Lighthouse partners.
Support to scale proven innovations addressing climate-related health risks.
Opportunities to strengthen the use of climate and health information in local decision-making.
Potential to expand interventions that protect vulnerable communities from climate-related health threats.
Funding amounts and investment decisions are determined by the programme partners.
