The scholarship aims to conduct research evaluating Invasive Carp and native fishes (sturgeon, Blue Suckers, etc) behavioral ecology and population dynamics in the Missouri and Mississippi Rivers and associated tributaries using vast acoustic telemetry arrays.
The student will get the opportunity to work closely with a wide diversity of state and federal agency partners as well as other students to collect field data, supervise field technicians, data entry and analysis, and annual reports. Thesis topics can be developed based in part on student’s interests.
