Eligibility Requirements for 2027 Osaka University MEXT Scholarship
To be considered for the Osaka University Engineering Scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
Undergraduate Applicants:
Must belong to a country with diplomatic relations with Japan
Must pass the entrance exam for eligible Osaka University programs.
Embassy Recommendation students must first complete a one-year Japanese language course.
Graduate Applicants:
Must hold a relevant bachelor’s/master’s degree before arriving
Must pass screening by Japanese embassies or consulates in their home country
Must request a Letter of Acceptance from Osaka University after the embassy’s first screening
Japanese language training available if required before admission.
