East-West Center Advanced Leadership Program 2027 in Hawaii
The East-West Center Advanced Leadership Program (ALP) 2027 invites established professionals to strengthen their leadership development skills, expand their professional networks and explore new directions in their careers. The programme is designed for experienced leaders interested in leadership education and development across different sectors, with a focus on advancing prosperity and sustainability in the Asia-Pacific region.

Programme Benefits
The programme provides:
Accommodation in an East-West Center residential hall, valued at up to US$2,181.
A monthly stipend of up to US$1,000 towards living expenses.
J-1 visa sponsorship and SEVIS fee reimbursement upon arrival in Hawaii for non-US citizens.
Travel health insurance during the programme.
Course materials for required programme events and activities.
Participants also gain leadership facilitation experience, peer coaching, professional networking opportunities, research and exploration time, and opportunities to collaborate with the East-West Center's Leadership Program team.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants should:
Have at least 10 years of progressive professional experience, demonstrating increasing responsibility and impact.
Have a proven leadership record in professional, public or personal settings.
Be interested in leadership education, leadership development or a related field.
Demonstrate international experience, language skills and commitment to the future of the Asia-Pacific region.
The programme is particularly suitable for professionals with approximately 10–15 years of experience who want to transition into or expand their work in leadership education and development.
Programme Activities
Fellows will collaborate with the Leadership Program team to design and deliver learning sessions within the East-West Center's Asia-Pacific Leadership Program. They will also develop a Professional Development Plan, engage in peer coaching, conduct independent research and exploration, and participate in seminars, events and networking activities.
Costs Not Covered
Participants are responsible for:
Travel to and from Hawaii.
Living expenses beyond the support provided.
US visa application and additional visa-related fees.
Accommodation and health insurance outside the programme dates.
