What this programme is offering
Applications are now open for the 2026 AfOx-Research Alpha Industry (RAIN) Fellowship Programme. The fellowship supports mid-career African researchers to collaborate with industry partners and Oxford-based scholars to develop research that addresses real-world industry challenges.
AfOx seek 5 mid-career researchers from African universities and research institutes who focus on the application of AI and emerging technologies in the Energy, Agriculture, and Health Sectors.
Fellows will be matched to an Africa-focused industry partner and work together to refine their research focus on industry-relevant questions.
Fellowship Details:
Duration: 12 months
Includes: 2 months in-person residency in Oxford
Applicants must identify a potential collaborator at Oxford University and an industry-relevant research focus before applying.
