What this programme is offering
The scholarships are designed to support academically qualified students facing financial hardship by covering tuition fees, accommodation, and living expenses. Successful applicants will begin their studies in September 2026.
Five Fully Funded Scholarships Available
The Bestway Foundation will fund five scholarships for eligible Pakistani students enrolling in full-time postgraduate taught programmes at the University of Bradford.
Each scholarship is valued at approximately £35,000 and includes a comprehensive financial support package covering major study-related expenses.
Successful scholars will receive:
Full tuition fees
Accommodation at The Green student residence
Annual living allowance of £6,665
Living allowance paid in three instalments:
October
January
April
The scholarship aims to remove financial barriers and enable recipients to focus on their academic and professional development while studying in the UK.
Who Can Apply?
The scholarship is open exclusively to students who meet specific eligibility requirements established by the University of Bradford and the Bestway Foundation.
Eligible applicants must:
Be domiciled in Pakistan
Apply for a full-time taught Master’s programme at the University of Bradford
Be self-funded
Have already completed their undergraduate degree
Know their final academic results before applying
Meet the University’s minimum academic and English language entry requirements
The scholarship does not apply to Master of Business Administration (MBA) programmes.
Applicants are also encouraged to apply for the scholarship before submitting an application for admission if they depend on the award to finance their studies.
Minimum Academic Requirements
Candidates must satisfy the University’s entry standards before applying for the scholarship.
Applicants should possess one of the following qualifications:
A four-year Bachelor’s degree with:
An overall average of at least 60%, or
A 2.5/4.0 GPA, or
First Division classification
Alternatively, applicants may hold:
A Master’s degree with:
An overall average of at least 60%, or
A 2.5/4.0 GPA, or
First Division classification
Applicants must also meet the English language requirements for their chosen Master’s programme.
Supporting Students Facing Financial Hardship
The scholarship specifically targets students experiencing financial challenges linked to circumstances affecting their home country.
According to the University, priority is given to applicants whose financial difficulties arise from factors such as:
Political instability
Armed conflict
Natural disasters
National crises
Other humanitarian or economic challenges
The initiative aims to help talented students continue their education despite difficult personal or national circumstances.
Application Process
Applications for the Bestway Foundation Scholarships will be accepted during a one-month application window.
Important dates include:
Applications open: 1 April 2026
Application deadline: 1 May 2026
Applicants are required to submit supporting academic documentation together with their scholarship application.
The University notes that any evidence submitted after the application deadline will not be considered.
Personal Statement Requirement
As part of the application process, candidates must prepare a personal statement explaining:
How circumstances in Pakistan have affected them or their family
Why they wish to study at the University of Bradford
Why they selected their chosen Master’s programme
How they intend to use their qualification after returning to Pakistan
The personal statement forms an important part of the scholarship assessment and allows applicants to demonstrate both motivation and future career aspirations.
Selection and Notification Process
Applications will be reviewed by the scholarship selection panel during June 2026.
Successful applicants will be notified no later than mid-June 2026.
Candidates selected for the scholarship will then be required to:
Submit a formal programme application to the University
Provide proof of academic qualifications
Submit evidence of English language proficiency
Provide an academic reference
Apply for a UK student visa
The University of Bradford has indicated that successful candidates will receive guidance throughout the admission and visa application process.
Applicants who have not received communication by 16 June 2026 should consider their application unsuccessful, as only successful candidates will be contacted.
