About the opportunity

What this programme is offering

The World Literacy Foundation’s Youth Ambassador Program is a global community that is built on Youth Power for Literacy. We empower youth aged 16–25 to lead, connect globally, and take action.

We firmly believe that young people’s voices, vision, and drive are essential to tackling illiteracy. From June to September 2026, we’ll empower 1000 passionate young leaders from 60 countries to become local leaders for literacy and unite in a global effort to ensure every child has the opportunity for literacy.

Through dynamic, youth-led online modules, creative collaboration, and hands-on advocacy, these 1000 Ambassadors will become literacy advocates, activists, and community organisers in their own neighbourhoods and beyond. Each participant will discover what it truly means to spark meaningful change-on a local and global level.

At the World Literacy Foundation, we believe youth power drives meaningful progress in literacy
