Role overview
What you'll be stepping into
Main Job Functions:
Ensure that Network Systems are in compliance with organisational policies, industry policies and system security standards
Actively participate in MTN Uganda Cyber Security Operations
Ensure complaince to MTN GIS policies
Track closure of MTN Uganda Network Group Internal and External audit findings
Ensure Policies, Processes and Procedures are in place to support required Network security
Ensure adherence to processes/procedures within Network Group and undertake research to enhance efficiency of the processes.
Provide leadership to the Network change approval and ensure adherence to the change management process.
Liaise with IT change board for end to end visibility of changes on the network
Audit of network installed hardware and Coordination of the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with external suppliers/contractors to ensure value for money engagements
Ensure compliance to CyberSystems security standards and controls - ISO27001
Education
BSc Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, Information technology , Information Systems or related courses
Certifications: Certifications like OSCP, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC or similar are highly regarded.
Work Experience
2 years’ experience in a relevant field.
Experience with Security Monitoring Tools: Proficiency in SIEM solutions, IDS/IPS, firewalls, encryption technologies, endpoint security, and other tools to identify and mitigate risks.Strong Analytical Skills
Skills / physical competencies:
Negotiation skills
A highly specialised technologist with mathematical, statistical and problem solving abilities. Lateral thinking and general systems-interconnectivity knowledge
Process Engineering skills
Excellent PC and computing skills.
Leadership skills
Communication skills
