What you'll be stepping into
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Revenue generation and growth in all business lines
Develop and implement effective strategies and initiatives to generate revenue at the branch.
To formulate and implement pipelines management systems and ensure their control and periodic reviews
Increase quotation conversion rates through targeted sales strategies and follow-ups that are tracked weekly
Ensure 85% renewal retention rate for all business lines by maintaining customer loyalty through service improvements
Onboard new Intermediaries to grow business
Open up new markets to drive business growth, develop strategic partnerships, and expand distribution channels in the region to increase revenue and market share.
Ensure prudent underwriting and proactive claims oversight to sustain acceptable loss ratios in line with company standards.
Enhance Product portfolio diversification through cross-selling and upselling
Raise the company’s profile and enhance its visibility by positioning it strategically within the region for a bigger market share.
Strategic lobbying and negotiation for tender businesses
Lead branch-level market intelligence gathering and coordinate competitive quotation inputs to support timely and well-informed underwriting decisions for tenders and non-tender business.
Support marketers in the presentations and other logistics to deliver business.
Salesforce effectiveness
Provide leadership and support to the staff, sales and marketing team by driving the implementation of the corporate strategy, through training and motivation to achieve the organizational objectives
Ensure bi-weekly morning huddles and pipeline management discussions for all producers in the branch
Ensure product training to financial advisors, Marketing Executives, Unit leaders, wealth advisors and underwriters
Inculcate a high performing culture to the branch sales teams through mentoring and guidance
Performance review and strategy meeting with producers to monitor progress
Market Intelligence & Business Support
Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Provide market intelligence and actionable insights to support business acquisition, strategic planning, and decision-making.
Contribute to the development and enhancement of products and solutions that meet evolving market needs.
Support product launches, marketing campaigns, and brand visibility initiatives in collaboration with relevant teams.
Prepare periodic business performance reports and management updates on key growth indicators.
Support the development of branch targets, budgets, and strategic plans aligned to organizational objectives.
Coordinate market activations and promotional activities to drive business growth and market presence.
Ensure efficient utilization and management of branch and company resources.
Stakeholder Engagement & Customer Service
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and key stakeholders.
Recruit, train, and support intermediaries to drive business growth and service excellence.
Conduct regular client and intermediary engagements, visits, and training sessions.
Represent the Company at industry, community, and partner events to enhance brand visibility.
Identify and recommend strategic partnerships, sponsorships, and business opportunities.
Address customer and intermediary queries promptly and ensure high service standards.
Promote customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term business relationships.
Compliance, Reporting & Governance
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and governance frameworks in all business activities.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client engagements, and pipeline data.
Prepare timely and insightful reports on sales performance, pipeline health, renewals, and market developments.
Support internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory engagements through accurate documentation and clear reporting.
Who We’re Looking For
Academic & Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
Professional insurance qualification such as ACII, CII, Diploma in Insurance
Experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience
