What you'll be stepping into
The key purpose of this role is to perform Second Tier deliveries according to the planned routing schedule while ensuring that all required safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Operate Second Tier Delivery Vehicles
Legally operate company vehicles in accordance with applicable requirements.
Inspect trucks and trailers using the approved vehicle checklist.
Check essential vehicle requirements, including oil and water levels.
Record any vehicle damage, defects, or faults identified during inspections.
Report identified damages, defects, or faults promptly to the relevant responsible personnel.
2. Perform Second Tier Deliveries
Deliver customer orders according to the planned and scheduled delivery routes.
Ensure inventory reconciliations accurately match orders before departure.
Reconcile inventory during collections at the Point of Contact (POC).
Maintain a safe, healthy, and risk-free working environment during delivery operations.
Adhere to the DPO Safety Pillar working guidelines and relevant safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Grade 12 or equivalent.
Experience
2–3 years of experience in a Stock Control environment.
Previous stock control experience within the FMCG industry.
Technical Knowledge
Sound knowledge of the SAP R3 system.
Advanced knowledge of SAP systems.
Licence
Valid and unendorsed Heavy-Duty Vehicle Licence.
