General Worker- Net Making (01)

Responsible for Cutting, splicing ropes, fixing and joining Nets.

KEY DUTIES

• Splice ropes according to instructions given by the supervisor.

• Measuring and cutting ropes accurately to the specified lengths.

• Fix and join nets in line with the supervisor’s instructions.

• Assembling of mooring lines with anchors.

• Participating in anchor dropping in the Lake.

• Adhere to the company’s health and safety guidelines.

• Maintain a neat and tidy workplace.

• Performing any other duties assigned by the Supervisor / Line Manager.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum of Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education.

2. Knowledge in Swimming and Rescue skills.

• Good in Basic Mathematics

• Physical strength and stamina

• The ability to get along well with co-workers

• The ability to keep up to date with changing technology

• The ability to do precision work

• Hardworking, capable of being involved in farming operations
