5. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate shall:
a. Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Artificial Intelligence, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, intelligent systems, robotics, reinforcement learning and related disciplines according to the candidate's area of expertise.
b. Prepare course outlines, teaching materials, laboratory practicals, assessments and examinations in accordance with university policies and quality assurance standards.
c. Supervise undergraduate final-year projects and supervise or co-supervise Master's students to successful completion.
d. Conduct high-quality research in Artificial Intelligence and publish in reputable peer-reviewed journals, indexed conference proceedings and recognised scholarly platforms.
e. Participate in curriculum development, programme review and accreditation to ensure programmes remain aligned with international AI standards and emerging technologies.
f. Mentor Lecturers, Assistant Lecturers and Teaching Assistants in teaching, research, publication and professional development.
g. Participate in departmental administration, quality assurance and academic governance.
h. Develop partnerships with technology companies, research institutions, innovation hubs and government agencies to support collaborative research, internships and innovation.

i. Promote responsible and ethical Artificial Intelligence through research, policy engagement and community outreach.
j. Prepare research grant proposals, consultancy projects and innovation initiatives.
k. Support AI competitions, hackathons, innovation exhibitions and technology entrepreneurship initiatives.
l. Perform any other duties assigned by the University Management.
6. CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
6.1 Academic Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must possess:
a. An earned PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Machine Learning or a closely related computing discipline from a recognised university.
b. A Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
c. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant post-PhD academic and/or industry experience, including at least two (2) years of full-time university teaching.
d. A minimum of three (3) peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals, indexed conference proceedings or scholarly book chapters since the award of the PhD.
e. Demonstrated experience or active involvement in postgraduate supervision.
f. Evidence of funded research, consultancy, innovation or industry collaboration will be an added advantage.
6.2 Teaching, Research and Innovation
Applicants should demonstrate:
a. Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and emerging intelligent technologies.
b. Experience teaching undergraduate and postgraduate AI-related courses.
c. Active engagement in research and scholarly publication in Artificial Intelligence.
d. Experience supervising undergraduate research and postgraduate students.
e. Ability to secure research funding and contribute to collaborative AI research and innovation.

f. Commitment to integrating emerging AI technologies and innovative pedagogical approaches into teaching and learning.
6.3 Leadership, Partnerships and Industry Engagement
Applicants should demonstrate:
a. Ability to mentor junior academic staff and students.
b. Experience participating in programme review, accreditation and quality assurance.
c. Ability to establish partnerships with technology companies, research institutions, innovation hubs and government agencies.
d. Experience supporting technology transfer, innovation, entrepreneurship and AI-driven industrial solutions.
e. Membership of recognised professional bodies.
6.4 Technical and Professional Competencies
Applicants should possess:
a. Strong knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision and intelligent systems.
b. Competence in AI programming frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn or equivalent platforms.
c. Experience with cloud computing, big data technologies and AI development environments.
d. Excellent analytical, computational, project management and problem-solving skills.
6.5 Personal Attributes
Applicants should possess:
a. High standards of integrity, professionalism and ethical conduct.
b. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
c. Strong analytical, critical thinking and innovation capabilities.
d. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary academic and research teams.

7. REMUNERATION
An attractive remuneration package shall be offered in accordance with King Ceasor University's Terms and Conditions of Service.
8. TENURE
The Senior Lecturer – Artificial Intelligence shall hold office in accordance with King Ceasor University's Terms and Conditions of Service and subject to satisfactory performance.
