Project Manager – ILST

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES DETAILS

• Developing a project plan and managing the schedule, budget, and team members’ time sheets to ensure completion of the project within the specified time frame

• Directs planning meetings with the client’s Operational groups, and Supply Chain to ensure project coordination from a logistical perspective

• Communicating with clients and stakeholders to ensure they are aware of project status and any potential problems or delays

• Ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations, and best practices for safety and environmental concerns

• Managing procurement activities, including ordering raw materials and equipment, arranging for shipping and delivery schedules, and negotiating prices with vendors

• Conducting feasibility studies to assess business opportunities and make recommendations regarding strategy or implementation plans

• Coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that materials are available when needed and that tasks are completed on time and within budget

• Managing the day-to-day operations of a project including hing personnel, purchasing materials and supplies, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with governmental regulations

• Overseeing the project closeout process to ensure that all documentation is complete

• Identify and mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement throughout the supply chain for all assigned projects and activities.

• Networks across the organization and develops successful internal and external relationships.

• Monitor sub-contractors and ensure compliance of company
  HSE standards

• Interact with QHSE Department to agree on site QHSE
  Management objectives and reporting tools.

• To act as the Emergency Team on site in the event of any emergency.

Operations

• Monitor and track the operations in Mombasa

• Make sure truck availability is aligned between port operations and final transport needs

• Ensure the communication between all parties (Mombasa, client, border, Kampala, site) are done as per KPIS

• Set daily meeting with the team with objectives and detailed plar of activities

• Ensure the operations are delivered within the KPI

• Supervise the control tower team related to his operations as per KPIs

Finance and commercial

• Ensure the files are invoiced as per contracts with the right level of disbursement and gross margins (mombasa operations, storage)

• Validate the invoices

• Prepare and submit an commercial offer related to ILST traffic

• Deveiop the business and give visibility and regular update on all ILST existing or potential traffic.
