What you'll be stepping into
The Warehouse Intern will be responsible for supporting operations of Uganda Warehouse, including inventory management and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management; receiving and issuing of stocks and ensuring accurate inventory records are maintained, prepare items for dispatch by assisting in loading while adhering to batch management.
Participation in Uganda warehouse cycle counts and year end stock takes.
Coordination of Uganda ABPs replenishment and timely submission of Vendor invoices to Nairobi.
Warehouse Organization; Segregation of goods and proper housekeeping by organizing the warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and accessibility.
Safety compliance; Follow Solenis EHS safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Warehouse Supervisor. Participate in Uganda Warehouse and office 6s activities.
Has no formal managerial responsibility, but may provide guidance to colleagues (e.g. provides coaching)
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate degree in Supply chain management.
At least 1 year progressive warehouse management experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Experience in operating lifting equipment e.g. stacker or forklift (forklift certification) will be an added advantage.
