What you'll be stepping into
The Special Needs Education Lecturer is responsible for delivering instruction in Special Needs Education, preparing students to support learners with diverse needs.
Teaching and Learning: Prepare and deliver lectures, seminars, and practical sessions in Special Needs Education, covering topics such as inclusive education, assessment, intervention strategies, and policy frameworks.
Student Supervision and Mentorship: Supervise and mentor undergraduate and postgraduate students in their research projects, practicum, and dissertations related to Special Needs Education.
Assessment and Evaluation: Set, administer, and grade assignments, tests, and examinations, providing timely and constructive feedback. Conduct continuous assessments and end-of-semester examinations to evaluate student progress.
Research and Scholarship: Conduct research in Special Needs Education and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals. Seek external research funding and contribute to the body of knowledge in the field.
Curriculum Development: Contribute to the design, review, and improvement of the Special Needs Education curriculum to ensure it meets national and international standards.
Community Engagement: Engage with schools, special education centers, and relevant stakeholders to promote inclusive education practices.
Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and inclusion of learners with special needs in educational settings.
Academic Service: Participate in departmental and faculty meetings, serve on academic committees, and contribute to the overall development of the department.

Age Limit: The applicant should be aged at most Forty -five (45) years or below at the time of application except for the post of Dean of Students which is fifty-five (55) years and below 2. Tenure of Appointment: Appointments for Salary Scales PU1 to PU3 are issued on a contract basis.
