What you'll be stepping into
The Treasury Manager (Fixed Income & Alco) will report to the Head of Treasury and will be based at Head office. He/she is responsible for managing the treasury functions of Pride and maximizing yield while ensuring adequate liquidity and compliance to ALCO and other relevant policies.
Specific responsibilities include: –
Review and analyze extracted cash and bank balances.
Review the updated list of investments.
Forecast daily cash requirements and recommend cash transfers to branches.
Evaluate, develop, and implement cash management systems.
Trade in forex and purchase of currencies and invest surplus liquidity balance to optimize incomes.
Invest funds in approved securities to maximize yield.
Monitor and trade in investment portfolios.
Update investment database.
Review and recommend changes to the policies based on market conditions.
Negotiate competitive investment and forex rates.
Review reconciled investment schedules of maturities.
Support performance management and continuous improvement within the procurement function.
Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including non-compliance and operational delays.
Promote ethical procurement practices, transparency, and accountability.
Academic qualifications, Experience & competence: –
Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Full Professional certification in CIPS.
Master’s Degree in a related field is an added advantage.
At least four (4) years of public procurement experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or middle-management role.
Proven practical knowledge and application of the PPDA Act and Regulations.
Strong working knowledge of PPDA laws and procurement procedures.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Ability to manage multiple procurement activities within tight timelines.
Should possess at least a Credit in Mathematics and English at O’Level and 2 principal passes at ‘A’ Level.
